When we found out we were expecting a little girl, I immediately went into overdrive trying to create the most beautiful, perfect nursery for our little princess. I wanted it to be a calm, sweet environment for her to sleep and wake up in the mornings. I searched high and low for the perfect furniture, fabrics, toys, etc… I spent hours, days, weeks agonizing over every little detail of her room but little did I know that she would NEVER even use it.
We quickly found out that Bailey was a terrible sleeper and learned that co-sleeping worked best for us. She went straight from the bedside bassinet into mommy and daddy’s big comfy king bed. I love being able to snuggle with her at night and always enjoy watching that sweet girl as she sleeps. Fast forward a few years and now we are talking about transitioning her into a larger “big-girl” bedroom. As excited as I am to have the chance to decorate and create a new, fun space for our growing girl, I am also sad about saying goodbye to her nursery.
We haven’t yet made up our minds about baby #2…most days I think we are incredibly blessed with Bailey and I would be more than happy to stop at just one. That makes saying goodbye to her little nursery even more bittersweet. I want to remember these sweet baby days forever but I also can’t wait to see what the future holds for our sweet, spunky growing girl. I can’t wait to share her new room with all of y’all!
Please do a house tour. Your home is beautiful.
